Nice to meet you all. Here, I will share my writing skills. Hope you enjoy exploring this blog.

 

    My name is Jeni Mika Amelia, you can call me Jeni. And now, I’m studying at Tidar University majoring in English Education. I’m much obliged to my lecturer Mam Susanti Malasari M.pd for giving me a chance to share one of my skills, especially from the English Language. Here I will share my writing skills such as writing a short story, poem, quote, or random story special from me. Actually, this is my first time to go deep into my writing skills and also hone my writing skills. I am the one who likes reading any stories like novels, comics, and also a poem. Usually, I love to use the Wattpad app and Webtoon app while I have free time or when I want to take a break from my activities. But, on this occasion, I will try to use my writing skills to make it my new hobby so that I can be more productive. And for you guys, I wish you are not only entertained with my stories but it can gain your reading skills too.

About the Course

       The skill of writing in English is one of the skills in English, in addition to reading skills, grammar skills, listening skills, and speaking skills. The skill of writing in English is very necessary because writing skills can affect a communication. With good writing skills, you may send a message or allow you to communicate with others even though not face to face but it doesn’t bring miss communication. That is the simple benefit example which happens in our daily life. Another example is writing can also be the way for healing to some of the people. Because many people cannot express his/her feeling or they cannot tell anyone about the situation that happened. And also like reading activity, writing can make you more productive when you don’t know what do you want to do and writing activity can also relieve stress. Types Of Writing 1.      Expository Expository writing is used to convey factual information (as opposed to creative writing, such as fiction). It is the language of learning and understanding the world around us.  Exposition may take one of several forms: a.        Descriptive/definition:  In this style of writing,  topics  are defined by characteristics, traits, and examples. An encyclopedia entry is a kind of descriptive essay.  b.       Process/sequential:  This essay outlines a series of steps needed in order to complete a task or produce something. A recipe at the end of an article in a food magazine is one example. c.        Comparative/contrast:  This kind of exposition is used to demonstrate how two or more subjects are the same and different.
